A boxed Corgi Toys Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car with Driver #05301.

This Corgi Toys Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car with Driver model reference #05301 was issued in 1999 by Corgi Classics, the owner of the Corgi brand at the time. It is essentially the same as the model issue originally made by Corgi Toys in 1968 in England. There are some feature differences. This model does not have the front and rear wings and the side wings are all red in colour instead of the red & yellow fan striped colours. The driver is the only figure included. The hood closure black belt is painted on the silver bonnet section, while the 1968 version has a plastic strap fitted.

Regardless, this issue is an excellent model and this one is older store stock, still in the original 1999 packaging and tied to the cardboard insert.
