Mettoy Reporter Model 4314 Plastic & Metal Typewriter

A boxed Mettoy Reporter Model 4314 Plastic & Metal Typewriter.

Mettoy, made a number of toy typewriters in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The earliest models were mostly tin lithograph artwork. Later the models changed to have mostly plastic parts.

This one dates from the late 1950’s and into the 1960’s.

The box is in good complete condition with some wear from being opened and closed to access the toy.

The typewriter still functions mechanically but the ribbon has dried out and it does not print. Otherwise the overall condition is very good with no obvious breaks or major marks. A great example of a toy that is now some 70 years old.
