Papier-mache Doll in Thailand Costume c1970. Doll appears to be papier-mache with cloth coverings except for the neck and face which are painted. The costume is hand-sewn to fit the body. The doll is mounted to a timber base labelled as P.O.S. Doll, there are no other obvious markings. Our estimate as circa 1970 is based on the original owner collecting dolls during her global travels in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Country of origin is not known but assumed to be Thailand.
