Description
A State Savings Bank of Victoria Money Box Savings Tin in good condition. Dates from c1973.
Featuring the ‘SSB’ Bee symbol, the State Map outline logo, and various images from around Victoria along with some platitudes relating to saving your money. The State Bank of Victoria merged (was taken over by) the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in 1991.
This tin is a re-usable design with a special key required to unlock the base. The lithograph artwork on the main faces shows some age related wear but is in good overall condition. The top money slot has been distorted with exuberant saving or more likely attempted expenditure!
